First spa day in a year and a half at possibly the greatest public access grato in the lower 48. It’s been kind of weird because basically behind these walls and in much of the Southern US you may not even know that COVID-19 ever existed as of 2 weeks ago except the shortage of staff who aren’t quite willing to risk their lives on taking your word that you’re fully vaccinated. Which we’re told you can count on that most aren’t. I never grew up eating this kind of food my mother makes southern fried chicken that I can't copy to save my life even with the old aluminum pot that she also made constant comment tea in and originaity fried the hand floor and season dredged empire chicken breasts in nothing but crisco. I don't know what they do to this chicken but it's simply amazing. Hot but not blow your head off burn stays in your mouth so you can eat every sweet hot bite. The sauces are all thoughtfully house made and add to the experience from the cherry bbq to spicy blue cheese finish off with banana pudding that has slices of real banana. I'm so glad there's none of theese places in Boston! If you're in Asheville check it out if they franchise Foodies and fat people Beware 🤪 Nashville Hot chicken is still the real deal! @ Rocky's Hot Chicken Shack ... See MoreSee Less
